Student Behavior Codes
Principles Underlying Code of Conduct Responsibilities:
As a member of the school community, each student has a duty to:
Accept responsibility for his/her actions
Exercise self-control
Develop habits of honesty, courtesy, and kindness
Use his/her time and talents for worthwhile purposes
Show consideration for the feelings, opinions, and abilities of others
Participate in school events
Encourage parents to participate in school activities
Basic rules for Student Behavior
Each student is expected to:
Attend school regularly and on time
Take pride in his/her own property and respect the property of others
Obey school and community rules of behavior
Observe all safety regulations
Obey school staff and other persons in authority
Each student has a right to expect the same behavior by members of the school community.
(Parents will receive a summary of the Code of Conduct at the beginning of the school year)
Complete copies of the Attendance Policy and Code of Conduct are available in all schools and the public library.
